About Homeport Travel
Why we decided to build a modern approach to cruise booking, who we are, and where we came from.
Homeport Travel is built and maintained by George Garzon in Orlando, FL.
Origin Story
Outside of Homeport, I am a web developer for a living, so I have to interact with UX/UI on a daily basis and as and AVID cruiser, I understand what budget-friendly cruisers are looking for during the booking process.
I got frustrated that most cruise booking sites didnt have the best user experience and appeared as if they were built in the year 2000. Sure there are lots of sites that showcase the same deals, but they're not pleasant to use.
In 2021, I started working on Homeport Travel.

Why Call it Homeport?
Because of my passion and love for the cruising industry, I was always had Ship Fun Facts to share when onboard with family or friends. Every cruise ship has a Homeport. Homeport Travel is a home that our customers can return to.
